Initiate an “after-hours” court so people will not have to miss work or school to meet a court obligation. The “After-Hours” Court will be the CONVENIENCE COURT. The Convenience Court seeks to eliminate in person appearances, which addresses barriers to justice including parking, childcare, missed work, and increase access to justice.
Implement a community assessment survey to involve people in the process of justice and address systemic issues presenting barriers to judicial access.
Host regular community listening and town hall sessions to keep the community engaged and Robin accountable during this next eight years.
Support cash bond reform.
Support the use of restorative justice practices.
